4th National Conference on Emerging Materials and Processes (CEMP) was held on October 30, 2019. The conference was organized by the “School of Chemical and Materials Engineering” (SCME), at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad.
The CEMP 2019 was focused on various aspects of innovative materials and emerging processes. The aim of conference was to bring together physicists, chemists and engineers from academia and industry to share ideas, problems and solutions relating to the development of advanced materials and chemical processes.
Mian Arif Ali CEO Revgreen Pakistan was invited at the SCME to deliver a talk in the CEMP 2019. Topic of the talk was “Scope of Biogas production in Pakistan & Need of Sustainable Technology for Biogas Upgrading”.
“As Biogas is becoming more popular around the world it is our responsibility to spread knowledge in Pakistan about biogas technology and to clear misconceptions about biogas in Pakistan”. Said by Mian Arif Ali.
Mian Arif Ali also added that Pakistan is the most suited country for installation of biogas plants. He said large scale Industrial biogas plants can be installed not just to produce gas for heating but Electricity from Biogas can also be generated by utilizing biogas technology.
Biogas can also be produced by municipal solid waste, sewage waste water, food waste and industrial and agricultural organic waste.
Mian Arif Ali also shed light on various biogas upgrading technologies which are being used all around the world and can easily be adopted in Pakistan. Now we have the required man power and resources to get maximum benefits by installing small scale to large scale production biogas plants.
